THE LIBRARY CORNER

Happy Valentines Day! That is a phrase that you will hear, say and/or read often during the month of February. As Christians, love is an important part of our faith - love of God and love of our fellow man. In our Church Library you will find at least two books with titles that reflect love - Hearts In Harmony by Gail
Gaymer Satter and Hearts Under Construction by Diann Hunt. Both of these books may be found in the Ficton/lnspirational (Blue Dot) Section of our library.
Have you ever taken note of the books from which Pastor Joel quotes during his Sunday
Morning Sermons and thought I really would like to read that book. One of the authors that he quotes is Ravi Zacharias. The following books by Ravi Zacharias are in the Church Library: Can Man Live Without God; Cries of the Heart; The Grand Weaver; and Walking from East to West.
These books may be found in the Author (White Dot) Section of our library.
Come check out our Church Library and while you are there, check out a book by Ravi
Zacharias. You'll be glad you did.

COLLEGE STUDENTS NEED LOVE TOO

What becomes of our young people after college? Many local church members throughout the country ask this question. In fact, what happens to them during their college years?
What is or will be their church affiliation, if any?
Too often than not, local church members forget about the young people after they leave for college, not realizing the traumatic experience the new student faces by breaking away from home and church ties. We need to do all possible to keep these ties by staying in touch with these students away from home and letting them know they are still a part of us. The competition for their attention out there is fierce and too often very attractive with peer pressure. The various cults on campuses, non-Christian "church" recruiters, and anti-religious groups are hard to avoid. Let's make it a priority to keep in touch with our young people who are away at college.
A card, a note of encouragement, a care package, perhaps even a little cash now and then...something to let them know that their church family back home is thinking of them and loves them dearly... all of these are great ways to keep in touch with our college students and remind them of their roots here at FBC.
The addresses of our FBC College Students who are away from home can be obtained from our church office.
Let's not forget them
