!2-20-07 Preschool Christmas Program
What is special about the number 27 Quite a bit at Weekday
Preschool. In the last 2 months of school we have 2
more alphabet letters to learn (Y and Z), 2 more colors to learn (blue and
black), and 2 more numbers to learn (9 and 10). The
school year is winding to a close and both staff and students are happy
to see it end and sad to see it end. Of course, the
weather has changed for the better, and it makes us all long for the summer
vacations. We all yearn for the break in routine of
getting up every morning to go to school and to work.
The preschoolers are both excited and afraid of changing schools in the
fall and starting kindergarten. Change of any kind is scary
at times. The children miss the friends they've made at preschool and the
teachers miss the kids they see every day
and have grown attached to, almost like their own children. So, it is with
mixed feelings that we see the end of May coming.
Some of the highlights of May are:
May 1st - May Day, where we gather at the May Day Pole to dance in Spring;
May 16 - Flip/Flop Day when the 3-day class switches with the 5-day class;
May 20 - 5-day class Graduation/Closing Program at 7:00 p.m.;
May 21 - 3-day class Closing Program at 9:00 a.m.;
May 21- Teddy Bear Picnic, a snack with our favorite teddy bears on the
side lawn of the church;
May 30 - Our preschool family picnic at Ni+ro Children's playground.
We feel we have had a very successful year 2007-08.
We have had a complete enrollment all year. and we have tried our best to
execute our mission to educate young minds and
encourage young families spiritually and academically.
We already have a full enrollment for the 5-day class for next year. 2008-09,
and a half-full roster for the 3-day
class which will continue to grow during the summer.
